Acts 11:29

The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea.

Request for Assistance for Immigration of Christian Family from Sudan

TEAM Rochester is asking our community to help raise money to reunite a Christian family from Khartoum, Sudan. Mading Kuierashoung is already here in Rochester and attends Calvary Evangelical Free Church. He is in the process of moving his wife and two young daughters to Minnesota. His daughters are US citizens because they were born after he became a US citizen.

Mading can pay for his own plane ticket, but he needs help for three plane tickets ($1,200 each) for his family to join him here. Mading’s wife is a South Sudanese citizen and she has been working for over a year to obtain an immigration visa. It has now been approved pending a personal interview to take place at the US embassy in Khartoum.  There are a few additional documents that must be obtained in Sudan before his wife’s interview. He also needs to obtain passports for his daughters. So, Mading will travel there to help get the documents completed and then bring his family to the US.

Mading had a severe stroke in 2014 and has been unable to find employment due to his physical condition. His only income is from Social Security Disability Insurance. He offered to pay back the money on a payment plan, but we would just like to bless him and his family with a new life here. We would also like to help them get resettled once here.

We at TEAM Rochester understand the refugee issue is difficult, but we are praying to help this Christian family be united. Please join us in prayer, and if you can give, you may do so via our PayPal link on our website:

TEAM Rochester partners together with volunteers, churches and organizations in the Rochester area to pursue positive spiritual transformation in our social, economic, civic, and life of faith. It’s our desire to encourage followers of Jesus Christ in greater Rochester to serve together in unity and spirit. As the Lord Jesus prayed, “...that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.”(John 17:23)

We will accomplish this significant task by:
 • Supporting/Sustaining Prayer for our Area and World
 • Sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ
 • Serving those in Need

Connecting, equipping, and mobilizing people, churches, and ministries in Southeast Minnesota to serve, bless, and pray together to transform our area for Christ.
